Little Cedars Day Nursery is a small and highly regarded setting attached to Heathfield Knoll School. It benefits from beautiful woodland surroundings and is fully refurbished, including new furnishings, outdoor spaces and resources. As part of a smaller team, you will have the opportunity to gain from working alongside more experienced colleagues, as well as being fully supported by the nursery and school team. We want the best from you and understand that this is achieved by working closely with you within an environment of supportive and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the EYFS, ensuring children’s individual needs and interests are met
- Assist with observing, assessing, and planning for children’s development and next steps
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Help maintain learning journeys and development records
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive nursery team
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment at all times
- Support children with daily routines, including play, meals, and care needs
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies and procedures
- Attend training, staff meetings, and contribute to continuous development
- Assist with general nursery duties, including preparing resources and tidying
