That’s why we’re proud to support the Family Learning Festival 2025! A nationwide celebration of learning together as a family, running from 4 October to 2 November 2025.
What is the Family Learning Festival?
It is coordinated by the Campaign for Learning. The Family Learning Festival is an annual event that brings families, organisations, and communities together. This year’s theme is “Story Power”, which celebrates the transformative potential of storytelling. How stories help us understand ourselves, connect with others, and imagine new possibilities.
From creative workshops to museum visits, the festival offers a rich variety of activities, designed to inspire curiosity and strengthen family bonds. It’s a chance for families to learn new skills, discover hidden talents, and build lasting memories through collaborative experiences.
Why it matters to us
At Shaping Lives, we specialise in early years apprenticeships and training programmes. Ones that empower educators to make a meaningful impact on children aged 0–5. We know that the first five years of life are critical for development, and that families play a vital role in shaping a child’s future.
The Family Learning Festival aligns perfectly with our mission to nurture tomorrow’s educators, support families in creating enriching learning environments. If it’s reading together and sharing stories or exploring creativity, these moments of connection lay the foundation for lifelong learning and emotional wellbeing.
Supporting future educators through apprenticeships
Our childcare apprenticeships are designed to equip learners with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in early years settings. From Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to Level 3 Early Years Educator, our programmes combine hands-on experience and with expert guidance. So, helping apprentices build rewarding careers while making a real difference in children’s lives. We also offer tailored support for those working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring inclusive learning for all. By investing in the next generation of childcare professionals, we’re helping shape a future where every child has the opportunity to flourish.
