At Shaping Lives, we believe in nurturing potential, building confidence, and shaping futures, both on and off the court. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce we’re supporting local youth through our sponsorship of the Jurassic Coast Raptors, a fantastic local non-profit basketball club based in Wareham.
This season marked a milestone for the Raptors as they entered the Dorset Basketball League for the very first time. And wow, did they make an impact! The Raptors’ under 10s and under 12s teams absolutely smashed it, clinching the league titles in their age groups. Meanwhile, the under 14s squad fought hard and secured an incredible second place finish, coming so close to the top!

From the youngest Nestlings and Hatchlings (U6-U8) to the Men’s 1sts, the Raptors provide an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone (whether competitive or just there for fun) can develop skills, build confidence, and experience the joy of basketball.
Coach Tee, who owns and passionately runs the club, coaches both the U14s and U18s teams and oversees all coaching from the youngest age groups to the senior men’s squad. His dedication to the game and to everyone passing through the Raptors’ doors is nothing short of inspiring. At Shaping Lives, we share that passion for empowering people, inspiring growth, and fostering a sense of belonging.
The Raptors aren’t just about basketball, they’re about community, belief, and enjoyment. And that’s why our partnership is such a perfect fit because we know by supporting local youth and young people’s confidence, as well as skills in sport, we’re shaping lives in the best way possible – today and tomorrow.
