Position

Location: Remote based with travel required for learner observations and meetings

Starting Salary: £24,500


Following the success of our first cohorts of Trainee Personal Tutors at our sister company Paragon Skills, we are looking to replicate the trainee tutor model here at Shaping Lives to support Early Years industry experts join us and become qualified Tutors.


As Trainee Tutor, you will develop your training knowledge by completing our in-depth inhouse training programme and learn the skills to effectively deliver innovative and impactful learning to all learners. Whilst using your industry experience, knowledge, and passion for your chosen sector you will support a growing diverse caseload of learners as they progress thorough their qualifications.


Key elements of this role involve:

. Participating in the Trainee Tutor programme and complete professional qualification including AiET and TAQA

. Motivating and driving learners to achieve their work-based qualifications through outstanding teaching and learning

. Maintaining a growing caseload of learners

. Encouraging further progression for our learners onto high level qualifications

. Completing impactful and consistent progressive visits and reviews with learners and employers

. Ensuring learners are fully ready with a completed portfolio

. Supporting learners to feel confident at the EPA Gateway

. Continuously develop own capability and share best practice with your peers

. Adhere to GDPR regulations and all internal information and data security policies and procedures


Requirements

What we need from you:

. Minimum of Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT

· Minimum of Level 5 qualification in Early Years

. Relevant Early Years experience, to senior/managerial level

. Full UK Driving Licence, access to a car and ability to travel and conduct learner observations

. Experience of delivering or engaging in training activity or knowledge sharing with colleagues

. Experience of achieving targets and deadlines set without close supervision

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written

· Knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding

· Strong personal drive and the ability to manage own time and meet challenges in a positive way

· Flexible and adaptable to change with the ability to learn new skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to plan own workload and diary effective
