This year marks: 

  • 10 years of World Youth Skills Day 
  • 5 years of UNESCO’s Global Skills Academy 

And with the world rapidly evolving, the 2025 theme couldn’t be more relevant:
“Youth empowerment through AI and digital skills.” 

AI is no longer the future, it’s the now. From smart tech in classrooms to digital systems in nurseries, AI and digital tools are changing the way we work, learn, and teach. That’s why now more than ever, we need to equip young people with the skills to not only keep up, but lead.
